Dogwoods in bloom, daffodils everywhere, redbud trees bright against a background of forest…it’s spring in North Carolina.  Yes, it WAS 31 degrees this morning and it did snow in the mountains… “Dogwood winter” is another harbinger of spring – you can always count on a cold “snap” when the dogwoods are in bloom.
